Steve has over twenty five years of diversified experience in the public accounting industry.

In May 1986, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Susquehanna University with a B.A. in accounting. In 1986, he started his career with the “big four” accounting firm Deloitte Touche in New York City.  Steve founded Barlotta & Associates, LLP in 1996. Over the years he has worked closely with privately and family owned businesses; guiding them in establishing financial order and control in their companies. He has also lectured other accountants throughout New Jersey on the subjects of practice management, and financial statement preparation and analysis. Steve also has extensive experience in designing tax and financial planning strategies for individuals throughout various phases of their lives.

Steve has also obtained financial services licenses to meet the changing needs of his clients. These include the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses; he is licensed to sell securities in New Jersey, New York and Florida. Steve is a Registered Representative of and offers securities and financial planning through LPL Financial, member FINRA/SIPC. By combining these services with traditional accounting, consulting and tax services, Steve views Barlotta & Associates’ role as a professional services firm that provides financial and tax solutions to small businesses and individuals.
